Gen Z Protest Movements:

1. Nepal (2025): The latest demonstrations in Nepal, which have been termed the "Gen Z revolution," started when the government banned a number of social media sites. The movement swiftly grew into a popular rebellion against decades of institutionalized favoritism and corruption. The Prime Minister resigned and an interim government was appointed as a result of the protests, which were primarily coordinated on Discord and other similar platforms.

2. Sri Lanka (2022): Amidst a dire economic crisis, the country's current president was overthrown by youth-led "Aragalaya" rallies. Anger over corruption and poor administration served as the movement's main motivator.

3. Bangladesh (2024–2025): Similar to the complaints in Nepal, large-scale student-led protests in Bangladesh brought the nation to a halt. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina eventually resigned as a result of the protests.

4. worldwide Climate Strikes: Using social media to organize and mobilize millions of youth to demand action on climate change, Gen Z has been leading the worldwide climate strike campaign.

5. Black Lives Matter (BLM): Using social media to spread awareness of systemic racism and police brutality, Gen Z was instrumental in promoting and joining the BLM campaign.
