Scientists say Tehran's concrete might have prevailed despite the US dropping 30,000-pound bunker-busters on Iran.
According to a Popular Mechanics report, the US military attacked important Iranian nuclear sites, such as the Isfahan nuclear technology center, the Natanz nuclear facility, and the Fordow fuel-enrichment plant, using Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), which are enormous 30,000-pound bombs.
The Pentagon has been regarded as the only nation capable of destroying Iran's underground nuclear facilities, but it is still unclear whether it actually succeeded in doing so, according to the report. The operation is the first-ever use of the MOP, which can only be carried by the B-2 stealth bomber.

Damage Assessment Uncertain
According to the Popular Mechanics report, Iranian officials have rejected US President Donald Trump's claims that the operation "completely and totally obliterated" the sites. According to Popular Mechanics, a CNN report stated that the strikes on Iran did not destroy the country's nuclear program but rather only set it back a few months. Even early US intelligence has indicated that the extent of the damage caused based solely on satellite imagery is unclear.
